Our Beliefs

Trinity Baptist Church holds to the statement of faith provided by the Baptist Faith and
Message. Click here for the full document:  Click Here

They are also covered in our Membership Matters class.

In summary, however, we believe the following:

1) We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It was written by men who were moved by
God’s Spirit. It records the history of our world, the downfall of man through sin, and
the redemption of man through Jesus Christ.
2) We believe God is eternal. He has no beginning and no end. God has revealed Himself to
man as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is One God who
reveals Himself to us in three persons.
3) We believe that every person can have a relationship with God through faith in Jesus
Christ. God loves the world. His love was demonstrated when Christ Jesus died on the
cross for the sins of the world. His power was demonstrated when He rose from the
dead. After returning to heaven, He sent His Holy Spirit to live in the believers and He
continues to live in believers today. No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace but all
can be saved if they turn from their sins and call upon Jesus Christ.
4) We believe the people are created in the image of God. People are the most precious of
God’s creation. People were given the free will to choose to serve God or reject God.
Jesus came into this world to save sinful people (I Timothy 1:15).
5) We believe the family is God’s building block for society. We believe that marriage is
sacred and exists between one man and one woman and should last for a lifetime. We
believe that the family is the primary way God educates and shapes the next generation.
We believe that parents should view their children as a gift from God and children
should honor their parents.
6) We believe that God’s mercy and grace is greater than all our sin. We believe that
everyone can be forgiven, and that God wants for people to be delivered from both the
bondage and the shame of sin. We believe that God loves you and that Jesus Christ died
for your sins.
